For Vitra in Milan, the Fuorisalone is all about Sag80!
During Fuorisalone 2019, Sag80’s historic showroom is transformed into a grand homage to Vitra design.
For the occasion, three different environments are reconstructed within the exhibition space that will present the public with atmospheres of unusual and sophisticated design. Vitra‘s latest innovations, on display at Fuorisalone 2019, are presented to the public in a design layout whose purpose is to recreate an authentic Vitra experience: high-end design with attention to every detail, from the colors of the walls to the plants on display.
At the entrance, the visitor is greeted with a living room whose undisputed star is Antonio Citterio’s Grand Sofa, presented in a version with white upholstery: a cloud of softness that stands out among exotic plants and floor lamps.
Even from this first room Vitra surprises with touches of particular originality and creativity, exploring new solutions with a contemporary domestic flavor.
In the central section, the layout continues with a large room that immediately surprises the visitor with its height and architectural structure: dominating the scene at Vitra Fuorisalone 2019 is a podium installation dedicated to one of the greatest icons of contemporary design, the Eames Plastic Chair (EPC) and the Eames Fiberglass Chair (EFC), presented for the occasion in never-before-seen colors!
Finally, one is guided into a space entirely dedicated to the new Vlinder sofa by Hella Jongerios, positioned in a living room with walls decorated with geometrically patterned wallpaper whose ochre hues echo the upholstery of the seat. The atmosphere provided by the other designer furniture placed around it offers the observer all the conviviality associated with the Vlinder sofa, recreating a warm and welcoming living space.
