Berlin remains an excellent reference point
There are cities like Berlin that retain their spirit even when it is declined by creative personalities into addresses to mark for the coming weekend of research on the streets of this European capital.
So many similarities, one finds something of New York and more of London, but Berlin remains a great reference point when the SAG’80 team explores a new city in search of the right inspirations for each new project.
Of places to visit at least once there would be so many that we could write a guide about the city, but the selection, with the same care with which each piece of furniture in the SAG’80 catalog is chosen, has led us to propose three that are truly not to be missed.
- eat – Chipperfield Kanteen
Not just any restaurant because we are within the walls of that complex made of sharp, defined volumes that answer to the name of David Chipperfield. Here thearchistar works but also opened one of the most beloved places for design enthusiasts . (Mitte District)
- shop – The Store
The shopping mecca where shopping is just part of an experience made up of music, clothing, flowers, food, books, furniture. (Torstrasse 1)
- sleep – 25hours Bikini Hotel
Views of the Berlin Zoo and cosmopolitan design for a place where you will go to sleep but it will be hard not to appreciate the design, thewelcome and the contrast between nature and the built environment experienced inside and out. (Budapester Strasse 40)
