Gandiablasco, outdoor furniture symbol of Mediterranean luxury
Passion for the outdoors, a dream come true on the edge of a cliff in the northern Balearic Islands and drawing inspiration from the Mediterranean, its colors and generous nature. This is the story of Gandiablasco, a family business founded in 1941 in Valencia, Spain, by José Gandía Blasco and reinvented by his son José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales. A long journey that started from the Valencian textile industry via furniture and outdoor space design in the mid-90s, and currently has distribution in more than 90 countries on 5 continents, as well as several showrooms of its own.
The collections, still produced at the Valencian factory, include modern outdoor furniture, all related to a Mediterranean lifestyle born more than 20 years ago, inspired by Ibiza’s vernacular architecture and the brand founder’s passion for the outdoors. Elemental geometry applied to furniture for swimming pools, gardens, terraces and patios lends a distinct character to the brand that responds to timeless and universal aesthetic canons, to the point that clean shapes and subdued colors have become a trademark. The luxury of simplicity that prefers clean forms, along with linearity, complement the outdoor environment they decorate, the landscape, without overpowering it. The clean design, elaborated with aluminum frames combined with polyethylene, opened up hitherto nonexistent market niches, confirming the company’s worldwide expansion.
The timeless beauty and functionality that characterize Gandiablasco’s signature furnishings are reinterpreted in the latest collection with the creative traits of Luca Nichetto, Søren Rose, Mayice Studio and Made Studio, some of the Spanish brand’s best-known icons.

Onde by Luca Nichetto, a perfect mix of Italian and Scandinavian aesthetics
“The idea was to create a modular sofa and allow this to be developed in a flexible, versatile form. An inspiration that came from observing the changes in the market and the need to create outdoor furniture that can also be used for interiors.”
This is what Venetian architect Luca Nichetto has created with the Onde outdoor collection created for Gandiablasco, in which Scandinavian aesthetics are fused with Italian design. In fact, it is a modular line-comprising armchairs, sofas and coffee tables with simple, minimalist lines-thought for the outdoors but equally appealing in an indoor space.
Capa, Nordic style for an intimate and cozy experience

Word of Danish designer Søren Rose, who in the Capaper Gandiablasco collection evokes the Danish concept of “hygge” and aims to transform any kind of outdoor environment into a cozy and intimate experience. Between Copenhagen and New York, the designer skillfully combines opposites to give results that are as simple and serene as they are refined and elegant.
The soft glow of Nordic style can be felt in each of the elements of this compact and singular series: the collection’s armchair, two-seater sofa and coffee table combine thermo-lacquered aluminum welded into structures with soft lines, the Iroko wood of the armrests, generous textile touches and warm and innovative surfaces thanks to a novel material, Dekton ® by Cosentino. It is a timeless and sustainable proposal that stands outside of passing fads, reflecting the soft glow of Nordic style.
Buit, an ergonomic aluminum mesh that resembles a sculpture
Sculptural, metallic, ultralight, Buit is the outdoor furniture collection designed by Mayice, the studio founded by architects Marta Alonso Yebra and Imanol Calderón Elósegui for Gandiablasco.The central element of the collection, which was awarded the Archiproducts 2019 and NYCxDESIGN 2019 Awards, isaluminum, a fetish material of the Spanish company, and the various modular pieces of furniture arise from a study of strength and ergonomics, and consist of a simple armchair and a pouf made of aluminum mesh woven with a special quilted outdoor fabric reminiscent of wool, developed in collaboration with Kvadrat – Febrik, with great strength.
The idea behind the collection was to create a kind of carpet made of ultralight aluminum mesh and fabric that could deform depending on one’s way of sitting on it. Aesthetically, Buit brings visual lightness. Being a folding sheet, the visual impact on space is less than that of other volumetric furniture. On a material and functional level, its lightness allows water to disappear quickly and prevent dust from settling.
Bosc, comfort and aesthetics between tradition and modernity
Bosc is anelegant outdoor furniture collection designed by Made Studio for GlandiaBlasco. The series consists of lounge chair, 2-seater and 3-seater sofa, and modular compositions. The freshness of the Bosc collection is reminiscent of the evocative atmosphere of the Mediterranean, the long coasts washed by the sea, places to get lost and find yourself. The comfort and adaptability of the armchair and sofas recreates the same feeling of relaxation and coziness, enhanced by the textile component that makes the products comfortable even before sitting down. Armchair and sofas have a welded aluminum frame and microperforated sheet metal that mimics the traditional natural wicker pattern.
