Designed by Vincent Van Duysen as a system of modular and design sofas with rigorous forms, Octave by Molteni&C is based on the power of essential geometric lines that design elements that can be placed side by side, which, when combined, can create linear, angular compositions or, thanks to the inclusion of suspended and light elements with a trapezoidal or rectangular shape, unusual configurations full of attractiveness and character.
Octave is structured, in addition to the traditional corner elements, with open elements such as chaise longues or ottomans that can be juxtaposed with the entire composition or remain free in the room to create unprecedented zones. From a structural point of view, the feet are made of die-cast steel blade that support the base where low upholstered rectangular-shaped backrests in fabric or leather are inserted. The cushions provide a great deal of comfort, which is also expanded by the bolster cushions in rectangular or square shapes that combined with the headrests can be placed freely on the backrest.

An iconic sofa already from its name that evokes the cosmopolitan atmospheres of London’s historic district, South Kensington is Rodolfo Dordoni’s latest design for Molteni&C that stems from the suggestions of the Kensington armchairs that enchanted the Milan Furniture Fair.
South Kensington is a warm, ethereal, and enveloping sofa but also with a definite direction: the rounded shapes that expand in the round are reminiscent of a true futuristic design, winking at film masterpieces such as 2001:A Space Odyssey, a 1960s myth and the imagery of a generation, in a mix of tailoring details and a contemporary look.
Available sofas are two- or three-seater with an integrated, wrap-around seat at medium height for maximum comfort. Upholstery and finishes are made of the highest quality materials, mirroring and reflecting the extreme care used in even the smallest details.
