The Minotti Freeman family consists of a plurality of elements with different characteristics, articulated in the Duvet and Tailor series, with which you can design the living space according to your needs. Minotti Freeman Duvet elements are presented as a set of soft, enveloping lines that give a reassuring design and ensure great relaxation, perfect for spending cozy moments. Different is the identity of the Freeman Tailor variant, with more defined volumes and one-piece seats with stitching that accentuate its contemporary and innovative character, particularly suitable for convivial situations with family and friends.
The special aspect of the Minotti Freeman system is the possibility of combining the Duvet and Tailor elements according to one’s preferences, so as to create the mix of sobriety and panache closest to one’s taste and compose the elements as needed. The alternatives in this regard are endless, ranging from two-seat sofas to corner structures with chaise-longues and “daybeds.” The elements of the Tailor series also make it possible to lighten the volumes of the sofa by inserting “wing” backrests and armrests, characterized by a wing design made by means of a metal frame covered in polyurethane.
The structure of the Freeman sofa: cutting-edge technology and expert craftsmanship
Both the Duvet and Tailor variants feature extra-soft cushioning with a central polyurethane insert, enclosed in a memory foam filling and a second layer of Assopiuma certified Gold label channeled goose down (trivia: this is a numbered, non-reproducible watermark that guarantees a minimum 90 percent composition of goose down and complete processing in Italy). The fabric or leather upholstery is assembled with bronze-colored faux leather webbing and double stitching that regularly define the volumes, while the armrests and backrests feature a refined stitching pattern from the brand’s tailoring tradition.
The frame of the Minotti Freeman sofa is made of multilayer wood with with elastic straps with a high caoutchouc component to ensure proper springing, and is covered with heat-sealed fiber. The polyurethane foam seat structure with concave seats allows the seat cushions to maintain stability and position over time. The base of the sofa consists of a perimeter frame with rounded edges made of extruded aluminum with die-cast aluminum joint elements, painted in light bronze anti-touch gloss. Ground support is via metal feet, which are also painted in a light bronze color. To ensure complete relaxation and promote correct posture, the elements of Freeman Duvet can be equipped with a headrest element, made of a metal frame covered with polyurethane foam, which combined with the backrest cushion provides high support in the seat.
Both families of elements have fully removable back and seat cushions for both fabric and leather covers. The upholstery of Freeman Duvet ‘s frame is fully removable in the fabric versions by loosening the knurled knobs using the provided key, while it is fixed in the leather versions. Freeman Tailor, on the other hand, has a fully removable frame cover in all versions, while the “wing” elements are removable only for fabric covers.
World of Materials
Sofas in the Freeman Duvet and Freeman Tailor series are offered with multiple upholstery options, in both fabric and leather, to suit a variety of tastes.
Fabric offerings include Oxford, a wool structure with cotton knit with high impact resistance, thanks to the use of extra virgin wool obtained from direct shearing of the fleece. Oxford fabric is available in a diverse color palette, from shades of gray to burgundy. We then have a selection of 100% cotton alcantara fabrics with chain motifs typical of the Italian tailoring tradition, made with jacquard looms and available in 12 color combinations. Moving on to fabrics with a woven structure and mixed composition, we find Freedom, which can be traced back to the tweed tradition and is available in various mélange shades, or Mirò, a jacquard fabric inspired by the vintage 1970s style, with natural tones mixed together.
Finally, as far as leather upholstery is concerned, Freedom sofas are offered in combination with Nubuck leather, which is soft to the touch and has a characteristic “writing effect,” and Aspen leather, which is more classically styled, soft and enveloping. The color range goes from natural leather tints, to shades of gray, to earth tones and reds.

The Minotti Freeman family was designed by renowned Milanese architect and designer Rodolfo Dordoni. The collaboration between Minotti and Dordoni, which began in 1997, has grown closer over time, until it became one of the distinctive aspects of the brand’s identity with the designer’s appointment as art director and coordinator of all the company’s collections. The cultural background and common goals allowed for the creation of a climate of shared ideas from which some of the most highly regarded projects in the brand’s history were born.
Founded in Meda in 1948 as an artisanal atelier, the company soon took on an industrial production footprint, investing in technological innovation and expanding its market from an international perspective. However, this has not prevented Minotti from keeping its Made in Italy roots and sartorial care for the product firmly in place, which can be found in the impeccable attention to detail.

Calder is a family of countertops with different heights, shapes and materials, united by their base with slender iron frame and simple, linear design. Calder coffee tables can have ebony or oak wood tops, with transparent gloss, matte or lacquer varnish in different colors, or even Marquina and Afyon marble tops.
Alternatively, one can opt for Gray coffee tables, designed specifically to complement the Freeman seating system either as an interlude between elements or to the side of the sofa. It is a sheet metal frame with a satin bronze finish, open on two sides, with an inner part veneered in Sucupira mink-stained.
