Also visible in these seats is the philosophy followed by Minotti, which aims to enhance the design of each piece to ensure that it will last over time, beyond its aesthetic value.
DESIGN GEOMETRIES AND MATERIALS
The Brasilia series by Minotti includes a wide range of seating ranging from the living area to the sleeping area: in particular, Brasilia Bed won the Wallpaper* Design Awards 2022 award in the “Best Quiet Space” category thanks to its distinct personality that derives from a Mid-Century style that is, however, revisited to bring the bed into modernity, a characteristic shared by the entire seating family.
The interplay of lines and volumes designed by Marcio Kogan / studio mk27 wink at the contemporary, as does the choice to use fine materials such as Santos rosewood stained Dark Brown.
The mattress rests on a sommier base that can be upholstered in leather or fabric, and supported by feet made from solid bars of satin-finished metal and painted a glossy Brandy color.
The style of the entire structure, marked by a strong architectural sign, is a tribute to the Brazil of the 1950s, which had prominent figures such as Oscar Niemeyer and Lùcio Costa among its main protagonists.
THE HEADER OF THE BRASILIA MODEL
Brasilia Bed by Minotti is raised from the floor and possesses among its most characteristic features an important headboard equipped in Santos rosewood that supports and wraps around the upholstered part of the bed, including both the presence of slats and two side bedside tables, available in two sizes and in two variants, shelf or with drawer.
The upholstered part of the headboard can also be covered in fabric or leather and is further embellished with fine stitching, reconfirming the extreme attention to detail by Minotti and Marcio Kogan / studio mk27.
