Milan’s Salone del Mobile 2022 will start in June this year, slightly behind schedule. Initially scheduled for April, the event was moved to avoid the restrictions that have characterized the pandemic months and to allow “exhibitors, visitors, journalists and the entire international furniture and design community to take full and safe advantage of the potential of an exhibition that this year will be full of new features and that, in addition to celebrating an important birthday, will focus on the theme of sustainability,” as explained by event president Maria Porro.
This year, in fact, the
Salone del Mobile Milan celebrates its 60th anniversary
and, as always, it will provide a unique stage for designers, creatives and companies from all over the world to present and discuss the latest industry innovations. So let’s see what the exact dates are and how to participate in the event.
WHEN WILL BE THE FURNITURE FAIR
Salone del Mobile Milan 2022 will be held from Tuesday, June 7 to Sunday, June 12, 2022 at the Rho Fiera Milano hub.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE, PRICE INFO AND TICKETS
Taking part in the Salone del Mobile 2022 is easy, both for industry professionals and the public.
For those in the furniture and design industry, visits to the Salone del Mobile Milano are open for the duration of the event, June 7-12, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., subject to purchasing tickets online, which allow a maximum of two entries on the same day.
Operators include, among others, architects and designers, interior decorators, and distributors and retailers, who must indicate their category when purchasing inputs.
Until June 6, operators will be able to purchase tickets during presale at a subsidized price: the cost is €30 for a one-day ticket, €55 for a three-day ticket and €68 for a three-day ticket, which will increase to €35, €65 and €80, respectively, if the same tickets are purchased from June 7 to June 12.
The only days the event will be open to the public will be Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12, with the event open from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Until June 6, the day tour ticket, which can be purchased online, will cost €30, while those who purchase it from June 7 onward will pay €35.
Both the public and industry professionals are obliged to indicate the days of their visit when purchasing the order, as entry will not be allowed on a date other than the date indicated on the ticket. However, the day of the visit can be changed after purchase from the reserved area of the Salone del Mobile Milano website.
WHERE THE FURNITURE FAIR IS HELD
The setting chosen for the 60th edition of the Salone del Mobile is the Rho Fiera Milano hub, which will host the event for its entire duration, from June 7 to 12, 2022.
The 200,000-square-meter area of the fairgrounds will provide space for more than 2,000 exhibitors, setting the stage for a truly historic edition.
HOW LONG DOES THE FURNITURE FAIR LAST AND HOW DOES IT WORK
The Salone del Mobile Milan 2022 will last a total of six days, from Tuesday, June 7 to Sunday, June 12, during which industry professionals, and the public over the weekend, can take part in the various events organized for the 60th edition of the event.
The events planned for the occasion are Salone Internazionale del Mobile, Salone Internazionale del Complemento d’Arredo, Workplace 3.0, S.Project, Eurocucina and Salone Internazionale del Bagno. Each of these will have its own dedicated space within the Rho Fiera Milano hub, the layout of which can be viewed directly on the event website.
Once admission has been purchased, the public and industry professionals will be able to move freely from one event to the next to get up close and personal with the new products presented by Italian and foreign exhibitors.
