Aurae and Otium Soft are part of the new Apollo sofa collection: a renewed focus on shapes and finishes that favor geometric designs and a new life for details. As is the case with leather upholstery in which distinctive stitching, each different for each model, stands out.

Otium Soft sofa: between memory and innovation the latest signature of Antonio Citterio
Otium Soft by Antonio Citterio for Maxalto is a sofa that winds between memory and innovation; it is a fluid space in which certainties and novelties flow.
Otium Soft is a modular seating system, designed by Citterio for the latest collection presented by Maxalto, that fits well within the living space by inspiring reflection on it and the ways in which they are filled and experienced. An ancient thought but declined in the rhythm of contemporaneity.
Otium Soft is a flexible and versatile sofa. The endless possibilities of existing variants determine its versatility and specificity. It is made available in two depths, 96 and 105 centimeters respectively, and thanks to its different widths it allows for combinations adaptable to any space, from the smallest living rooms to the largest living rooms. From a structural point of view, however, it consists of a strong steel frame while the supporting padding, made of molded polyurethane and sterilized down, is ergonomic in the seats, backs and cushions.
Soft, cozy padding and upholstery with a refined and exclusive character make Otium Soft what can be called the perfect combination of functionality and aesthetics. It is functional because its lines are as rigorous as the most perfect forms but, at the same time, it is a sofa that paints a manifesto of contemporary aesthetics in the colors of its fabrics, the quality of its upholstery, and the unrepeatability of its finishes.
Aurae, the extreme elegance of geometry
Maxalto’s revamped Apollo sofa series includes Aurae, also created by Antonio Citterio. Before being a sofa and seating system, Aurae is a triumph of perfect and elegant geometries. Geometric volumes rise, very lightly, from the floor carrying with them the rigor, sharpness, cleanliness but also the softness of the lines that generated them.
Aurae is characterized by an extreme formal logic, as if it were a syllogism, and includes linear seats of different widths and from the accommodating depths.; soft cushions create a backrest that offers extreme comfort, enjoyable and relaxing in spite of the original rigor of the lines. The lower edges of the frame are available in various painted metal finishes with nuances starting from nickel and graphite and landing in shades of amber.
Yet Aurae’s elegance lies entirely in its attention to sartorial detail: fine fabric upholstery is embellished with faux leather covers that design and enhance its forms, But that’s not all: leather upholstery with ‘profile’ stitching is also available. A must-have choice.
