, revisited in 2021 in the Lucrezia Soft version, represent a collection that aspires to combine comfort, evident in the soft geometries that characterize the seats, with a refined aesthetic, enhanced by the sartorial details typical of Maxalto’s tradition.
The collection was conceived by renowned designer Antonio Citterio, who wanted to develop a series of modular sofas to allow customers to configure tailored solutions depending on the available space and the style of the environment in which the seats are placed.
Lucrezia and Lucrezia Soft in fact give the possibility to play with seats of different depths, different coverings, linear solutions or chaise longue according to one’s needs. Whichever option is chosen, however, Maxalto again stands for comfort and the quality of the materials used.
THE INSPIRATION OF MAXALTO LUCREZIA SOFA
The idea that guided Antonio Citterio in the development of the Lucrezia sofa collection, and the subsequent Lucrezia Soft reinterpretation, is as simple as it is effective: starting from a sober design, the designer wanted to put comfort and functionality in the foreground, but without renouncing that touch of refinement given by high-quality workmanship and refined “haute couture” details, in line with Maxalto’s philosophy, always focused on excellence.
The result leads to a series of sofas that from the first glance allows you to admire its soft geometries and the quality of its materials. The wide range of proposals in the collection does the rest, leaving the customer free to imagine and configure the most suitable solution for their home environment.
FEATURES AND FINISHES
Maxalto’s Lucrezia Soft series consists of linear and modular sofas available in two depths and two sizes, but each of these elements can be further declined in two different versions: the first, more linear, features a seat cushion with a band and profiles, while those who like the presence of clearly visible tailoring details will inevitably be attracted to the second version, which features a seat cushion embellished with capitonné stitching.
In both cases, there are two different types of back cushions to choose from: the first option provides a more compact version, which offers more support to the seat through an integrated lumbar support, while the second is designed to be able to indulge in the relaxation and softness of feather cushions.
Crucial to creating an environment that is as coherent and harmonious as possible is also the choice of upholstery for Maxalto’s Lucrezia sofas, available in fabric or leather: both solutions feature high-fashion details, such as faux leather piping for the fabric variants, or refined “profile” stitching for those in leather.
