The countdown is coming to an end, design week is upon us, and like every year the number of new products presented is mind-boggling. We have selected the best of the fuorisalone, starting from Brera and going to every city district.
Milan Design Week is the annual event that can chart the course that the design world will follow throughout 2017, and the SAG80 Group team is ready to discover the best in town.
The number of events is virtually incalculable, each year emerging and renowned designers from all over the world show up to tell about new designs, made of experimentation and innovation.
Crucial in this context is to prepare in time, to select the best content of the Fuorisalone from Brera to Lambrate, because seeing everything is an impossible task.
Let’s cut to the chase and find out what is worth finding out:
- Brera Design District: the fuorisalone district where big brands meet research realities, here where every day of the year you can meet the Dome Milano Interior team this year the common thread is related to an engaging theme: gaming. The matter is serious, gaming is the new breeding ground of design.
- Isola Design District: it is the novelty of Fuorisalone 2017, a new hub where design presents itself to the city but especially to the industry professionals who invade Milan for five days a year. Artisan workshops are joined by Japan’s Kensaku Oshiro, not to mention young designers and emerging brands.
- Ventura Lambrate: an important year for this district that comes with theaddition of new spaces, those of Ventura Centrale. The appointments are not only concentrated, as usual, between Via Ventura and Via Privata Oslavia, but expand to Milan’s Central Station.
- 5VIE art+design: a schedule of international events with one novelty above all, the heart of the district becomes Gorani Square and hosts the FOYER GORANI project curated by Federica Sala. Also back among the off-site events in Milan is Design Pride, the street parade ready to take to the streets of Milan celebrating creativity.
