Founded in 1973 by the Veronese Benedini family,
Agape
has succeeded within nearly 50 years in the feat of changing the perception of the bathroom as a place of passage and purely functional. Through extensive research and collaborations initiated with prestigious international designs, Agape has transformed the bathroom, whether in the home, in luxury hotels or in a spa, into a place full of spirit and character, dedicated to personal care and well-being.
The Veneto-based company has made this transition possible by launching pieces on the market that have become iconic in style and elegance, for which aesthetics represents a tool not an end in itself, but rather aimed at creating a relaxing and pleasant environment to live in.
Agape products offer themselves as solutions that will last, not only because of the quality of the components but also because of their adherence to design principles intended to remain unchanged, as well as because of their ability to become an integral part of an architecture.
AGAPE IMMERSION AND ITS UNIQUE STYLE
Among the pieces that most embody Agape’s elegant yet essential style are undoubtedly those belonging to the
Immersion collection
.
The bathtub, in particular, is the result of a reinterpretation of the wooden tubs of the Oriental tradition and is designed to offer a novel experience, occupying a smaller surface area than classic bathtubs but, at the same time, providing greater depth so that even small rooms can be made the most of.
The features of the Immersion tub, designed by Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu, also make it possible to use it in two ways, one by keeping the body completely submerged, to replicate the experience of a spa, and the other by lying comfortably on a raised seat provided already by the structure of the tub itself.
Then to the same collection belongs the Immersion washbasin, available either as a countertop or in a version equipped with a supporting column: in both cases, the footprint is minimal to allow its installation even in small spaces.
AGAPE MIRROR GEOMETRIES AND SOPHISTICATED LIGHTS
In perfect keeping with Agape’s style, the mirrors also focus on a design that is simple and clean in appearance, yet does not sacrifice elegance and, of course, functionality.
The purpose is to add brightness to the environment in an indiscreet way, facilitating daily operations with possibilities such as integrated storage, integrated backlighting in models such as Eclipse and Solid, or even double-sided or magnifying mirrors.
DISCOVERING THE DESIGNERS WHO HAVE MADE AGAPE FAMOUS AROUND THE WORLD
Agape’s history and success also belong, of course, to the designers who over the years have put their signatures on washbasins, bathtubs, mirrors and other components capable of shaping bathrooms that are instantly recognizable for quality and style.
Always maintaining an Italian heart, well represented by its headquarters on the banks of the Mincio River, a short distance from Mantua, Agape today has developed an international soul and boasts dealers in as many as 60 countries around the world.
Helping the company’s fame cross national borders have been the contributions of leading names in world design, such as Patricia Urquiola, creator of numerous iconic washbasins and bathtubs, Marco Ferreri and Angelo Mangiarotti, whose creations have found their way into luxury settings, such as the Ritz Apartment or the Hotel Schgaguler.
