You do not need immense space to have a quality, fully equipped kitchen. The examples are many and all have unique features, from the Hide kitchen that relies on column storage modules that can accommodate the entire equipment, to the On/Off model that encloses the worktop and equipment inside a storage unit: opening the door thanks to a mechanism with electronic control gives access to the kitchen’s operating area, which after closing is transformed into a single monolithic block.
BOFFI KITCHENS AND STEEL AS A SIGN OF ELEGANCE AND DURABILITY

From Hide to Xila, via the K series, the material is in fact used to make countertops, or as a finish in the brushed stainless steel variant. Its sheen ensures an elegant and durable appearance, while at the same time matching well with other warmer-colored materials, such as wood.
The high point of this approach is represented by the Grand Chef kitchen, designed by Gigi & Pepe Tanzi and built for an apartment inside a period building in Turin completely out of steel. The choice had the effect of enhancing and making the main design the protagonist of a deliberately essential structure, characterized by steel handles and polished fronts and topped only by an all-white hood.

XILA KITCHEN DESIGN FEATURES
Xila represents a turning point in the history of Italian design for the insight had by Luigi Massoni, who oversaw the project in 1972, to make a kitchen with fronts without handles. In fact, the push-pull opening of base and wall units not only gave the structure a cleaner look, but also helped make it timeless.
In columns, on the other hand, the handle is replaced by vertical spacers made of shaped aluminum profile that, being at the side of the cabinet, allows it to be opened.
Among Xila’s main features is also the one inherited from the 1965 E15 model, namely the use of the building standard based on 15 centimeters and multiples, which fixes modularity in the abacus of kitchens.
Over the years, the kitchen has been enriched with new, state-of-the-art materials and a wide range of finishes for countertops, panels, and fronts.
