B&B Italia’s Dock sofa collection bears the signature of Piero Lissoni, an internationally renowned designer as well as creative director of B&B and other major brands in the field of designer furniture.
As a testament to the quality of his work, over the years Lissoni has received such prestigious awards as the Good Design Award, the Red Dot Award and the ADI Compasso d’Oro.
The Dock sofas were designed by Lissoni both in a low version, with a touch of oriental inspiration, and in a high version, with the possibility also to combine small tables and stools belonging to the same collection.
B&B DOCK SOFA : DESIGN AND FABRICS
Whether it is in a raised or low version, the Dock sofa in each case features a platform that serves to communicate the design’s sense of horizontal development, as well as completing the system by providing a convenient and strategic foothold, to be enriched eventually with various accessories.
Dock by B&B Italia is also a modern sofa because of its extremely flexible soul, thanks to the countless configurations made possible by the many elements belonging to the collection, which can be combined according to the user’s tastes and needs.
Upholstered items are undoubtedly among the main protagonists of Lissoni’s design: the armrests, available in two depths, backrests and cushions generate an intriguing play of proportions that guides the audience toward the preferred composition, whether it is angular, double-sided or equipped with a chaise longue.
Dock also boasts a solid steel base frame, while its upholstery is available in fabric or leather, with a wide variety of colors to choose from. Adding even more personality to the design are a range of exclusive finishes, from Canaletto walnut to satin chrome steel or brushed light oak.
