The Kettal Mesh collection designed by Patricia Urquiola gets a new component with the teak lounger and reclining backrest.
The latest addition to Kettal’s extensive outdoor catalog is the ideal synthesis of natural and industrial materials, soft surfaces and transparent volumes, with fabrics from the Terrain Fabrics collection.
Although she would not need much introduction, Patricia Urquiola is among the most influential names on the contemporary design scene, with a career of projects and awards to her credit comparable only to the Great Masters of the 20th century.
The collaboration with Kettal has led the Spanish-born designer to create some of her most iconic designs, including the Mesh collection.
For the design of this furniture line, the inspiration comes from some architectural facades, which are isolated from their surroundings although the passage of air and light is allowed. This design idea is made possible in practice with careful study in the choice of materialI and shapes, using the fabrics designed by Doshi Levien side by side with the metal structure.
Mesh is a collection of outdoor furniture based on contrasts, with a strong concept and design to detail going hand in hand, resulting in objects with compelling aesthetics and excellent technical performance.
