Alcova by Maxalto is nothing less than a modern reinterpretation of a furniture item that has always been associated with the concepts of charm, elegance and romance: the four-poster bed.
Maxalto has successfully tried to detach the essence of the four-poster bed from the classic style to which it is traditionally juxtaposed, retaining the key elements of this furniture but re-proposing them in a minimalist way: the result is a clean and essential design in which all components are clearly visible and present more rigorous geometries.
While all this may take away some of the “mystical” aura surrounding an object such as a canopy bed, Maxalto has placed a firm focus on the materials used and their unquestionable quality.
The look then flows neatly from the four vertical elements to the headboard to the wooden platform that supports the upholstered structure, all components that give Alcova a distinct personality, capable of changing the tone of the room.

As per Maxalto’s philosophy, details are not additions, but rather the very essence of a piece of furniture, coming to define it and make it unique from others. Alcova also boasts a one-size-fits-all solid wood frame that can be declined in various finishes, including light and black brushed oak, gray oak, and brown oak. Net and mattress, on the other hand, are available in different sizes. Adding an extra touch of style is the headboard, which, depending on needs and tastes, can be made of fabric or leather.
Finally, for those who cannot give up the ultimate in comfort and aesthetics, Alcova can be combined with a collection of solid wood nightstands, including a bedside footboard that can also accommodate a convenient open compartment, for cramming in objects both to keep in sight and to always have at hand.
