9000 by Tito Agnoli
Born in Peru to an Italian family, Tito Agnoli built his career as an architect alongside Gio Ponti and Carlo De Carli. In the early 1950s he shifted much of his professional activity to the field of design, winning a gold medal at the Neocon in Chicago and boasting numerous Compasso d’Oro mentions. Some of his works are part of the permanent collection of MoMa in New York.
In the late 1960s he began making small, versatile furniture designed for compact, multifunctional home spaces. 9000 is a series of small-scale seating that offers a multitude of possible combinations. Its small footprint and easy modularity make it an ideal solution for both multitasking home spaces and collective settings. The modules consist of armchair, element with one armrest, without armrests, corner, curved and ottoman.
BANAH design Luca Nichetto
Luca Nichetto founded a multidisciplinary studio in Venice that specializes in industrial design, product design and design consulting. Immediately starring in major collaborations with a multitude of brands and organizations, he later opened a second studio in Stockholm. Today, the studio works with international brands and clients, boasting experience that touches all disciplines and stages of design: from design processes to production.
Created as a personal tribute, Banah’s bold and iconic design celebrates the long and fruitful collaboration between Luca Nichetto and Arflex.
Its irregular and completely asymmetrical shape finds perfect balance in an organic and seemingly spontaneous formal approach and draws a seat at different depths. Slender metal legs highlight the floating effect, while a seam separates the upholstery into two surfaces, a smoother base contrasting with the curves of a soft, fluffy backrest. The Banah sofa is a striking object, extremely comfortable and capable of enriching the character of any room.
SUPPLI’ design Luca Nichetto
A name that is a whole program: the armchair designed by Luca Nichetto is an invitation to enjoyment. The sinuous design suggests moments of comfortable rest, while the refined study of detail makes the Supplì armchair an unforgettable object. Slender metal legs support the seat, and the shell is available in two variations: the first is a simple, integrated shape, the second is divided into two parts that can also be combined in mix and match tones.
BEL AIR design Claesson Koivisto Rune
Claesson Koivisto Rune is an internationally renowned Swedish multidisciplinary firm active in architecture and design. Leading architecture magazines and others have devoted ample space to portraying the Stockholm partnership, and 12 books have been published on the exclusive Claesson Koivisto Rune theme.
With Bel Air, the studio has created an elegant seating system, characterized by proportions that highlight its airy horizontality. Small tables that can be integrated with the soft seating elements offer surfaces capable of visually expanding the composition, accentuating the idea of an Italian “Optimist Modernism” par excellence.
TOKIO design Claesson Koivisto Rune
The Tokio seating system is characterized by soft lines and generous proportions. The volumes, slightly raised from the ground, are juxtaposed like true architecture, soft and floating.
The seating family can be grouped into a variety of combinations: from free-standing, like an island for sitting, to more traditional configurations.
GOYA design arflex
A tubular shape grafted onto a round base supports the marble top, available in different geometries characterized by soft proportions and curved lines. Goya is an elegant solution suitable for both domestic and ‘hospitality spaces, thanks to the varied composition of this family of tables that includes lounge tables, lounge dining tables, small tables of various sizes and heights, and service.
MARENCO AND MARENCO OUTDOOR design Mario Marenco
Mario Marenco, an Italian actor, humorist and architect best known for the shows he hosted with Renzo Arbore and Gianni Boncompagni, graduated in architecture and opened Studio Degw, beginning his career as a designer of exhibition stands for Italy’s most important car manufacturers: from Fiat to Lancia, Alfa Romeo to Ferrari, later collaborating with major Italian design brands such as Arflex.
The Marenco sofa is a great classic of Italian design, with its unmistakable line and wide modularity. Designed by Mario Marenco in 1970, it is still a great classic of Italian design. The large rounded shapes of the cushions combine strength and comfort; it is no coincidence that in 2007 Marenco won the Wallpaper Design Awards Best Reissues. Arflex pays homage to this contemporary icon by also presenting its outdoor version: style, elegance and comfort in the living room as well as on the terrace.
THRESHOLD design Neri&Hu
Neri&Hu Design and Research Office is an interdisciplinary architectural design firm based in Shanghai. The firm’s international portfolio includes urban planning, architecture, interior design, installation, product design, branding and graphic design. The projects have been recognized by a number of prestigious international awards spanning all areas of design and architecture.
The theme of Chinese culture is one of the main features of Neri&Hu’s designs, and for the Threshold partitions the reference is to the concept of ‘jian,’ which can be translated as meaning “space” or “interval,” but also “room.” The Threshold series offers free-standing partitions in which the design plays with materials (from mirror to rattan to elegant corrugated glass) and structures: the lines of the frame become volumes that house drawers or desks.
