B&B Italia has for years now chosen to bring the luxury and comfort that has always characterized its interior furnishings to outdoor spaces as well, with collections designed specifically to embellish gardens, verandas or even private places, such as a yacht.
There are many proposals developed by B&B Italia for the outdoor world, and they all start from the same characteristics that have made the company’s interior furnishings famous: quality, comfort, functionality and design, however, declined in proposals that also make durability and resistance their strong point, thanks also to a careful choice of materials.
There are hundreds of outdoor coverings offered by B&B Italia, designed moreover to combine with each other or to match other collections, leaving the customer free to create the environment that best suits his or her tastes and needs. The fabrics are waterproof and water-repellent, essential traits for outdoor furniture, while maintaining a warmth that is able to make the environment even more welcoming.
B&B Italia’s best outdoor : the projects
Over the years, B&B has involved many prestigious designers, who were already collaborators for the interior collections, in the development of the outdoor proposals, thus coming up with a wide range of products that can satisfy every need.
These include the Mirto series, designed between 2010 and 2014 by Antonio Citterio, which contains a long list of solutions for furnishing one’s garden, with loungers, tables, armchairs and chairs all featuring an elegant design and designed to withstand time and weather.
Butterfly, on the other hand, is the name of a modular sofa system designed by Patricia Urquiola, with the aim of bringing the typical comfort of an indoor environment such as the living room back into outdoor spaces: the outdoor corner that sanctions the union of the armrest and backrest is designed to reproduce the symmetry visible in the wings of a butterfly.
Instead, an armchair in two depths, sofa and footrest are the elements that make up Pablo Outdoor, the first outdoor collection created by Vincent Van Duysen for B&B Italia.
In addition to a series of intriguing contrasts, from color plays to a geometry that alternates between straight and softer lines, Pablo Outdoor again highlights the attention to the choice of materials used. Teak, used for the entire collection, is in fact ideal for outdoor furniture, and boasts not only excellent durability but also a pleasant feel.
